| SHARE Online Catalog Information |
| If you are placing a hold on an item
and receive the following message "Your privilege has
expired or your privilege is going to expire", do not be concerned. All this means is that your card needs to be renewed. Every 18 months the software program SHARE uses asks the library to verify your address and phone number and update it, if necessary. Give the library a call at 644-6171 and a staff member will be more than happy to renew your card via phone. Thank you for your patience and understanding. |

| Note to users regarding pin
numbers for placing holds in the SHARE online
catalog: At the time you fill out an application for
a SLINGER Library card, you provide us with
your mother's maiden name which is used for your pin number.
Unless you have specifically asked for another set of numbers
or letters to be your pin, your mother's
maiden name is your pin and is assigned at the time your library card is issued. Please call the library if you have further questions. |

- The Library will be closed on Monday, May 27, 2013 in
observance of Memorial Day. The book return and
audio-visual return will be open for dropping
materials. We will re-open on Tuesday, May 28, at 9
am.

- The Library will be closed on Saturdays from May 27 -
September 2, 2013. Regular Saturday hours will resume
on September 7.

- The 2013 summer reading program
theme is "Dig into Reading". The program kicks off
on Monday, June
17 at 6:30 with the library fair on our front lawn. Take
a look at the calendar

for all of the AWESOME programs planned! Sign-up for all programs
starts Monday, June 3. Hope to see YOU this summer at
the Library! It's THE place to be for reading and
FUN!

- The Friends of the Slinger
Community Library are selling their cookbook Tastes of
Slinger II .
This beautiful spiral bound cookbook features over
300 recipes collected from community members in seven different
sections. The book also contains many pages of helpful
cooking tips along with several pages of local
advertising and information. Each recipe features the donor's names, so everyone
can easily locate recipes of their friends and neighbors The
Friends of the Slinger Library are proud to offer
this fine book at a cost of $9.95. All profits from
the book will be used to support the Slinger Community Library?s programs
and services. Books are available at the Slinger
Community Library, Sonny's Party and Variety in Slinger,
Nehm's Greenhouse in Slinger and the
offices of Hartford radio station WTKM, 104.9
FM.
